This English version is provided for convenience. The German version is legally binding.
1. Controller
The controller responsible for data processing on this website is:
Scorbyte Technology GmbHWesenberger Straße 4
17235 Neustrelitz, Germany
Represented by: Justin Rieger
Phone: +49 (0) 171 564 56 86

No data protection officer has been appointed, as the legal requirements for this are not met. Please direct any questions regarding data protection to the email address above.
2. Principles of this website
This website is deliberately designed to be data-minimal:
- Without your consent, only technically necessary data is stored in your browser (your choice in the consent banner, section 2a).
- There are no analytics or tracking services and no advertising networks.
- All content, including fonts, is served from our own server. No data is transmitted to third parties such as Google Fonts or content delivery networks when you visit.
- The contact form forwards your message to us as an email. There is no third-party form provider and no storage in a database.
Personal data is therefore processed only to the extent necessary for the technical operation of the website (section 3) and for handling your enquiries (sections 4 and 5).
2a. Consent, cookies and third-party services
We currently do not use any services that require consent; there are no analytics or tracking
services and no advertising networks. On your first visit we merely show a notice to that effect.
That you acknowledged it with “Got it” is stored for 180 days in your
browser's local storage (key scorbyte-consent) so the notice does not reappear on
every visit (Section 25 (2) TDDDG, Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR). You can bring the notice back at any
time via “Cookie settings” in the footer. Should services requiring consent be added in future, we
will ask you first and update this policy.
3. Hosting and server log files
This website is hosted on servers operated by netcup GmbH, Daimlerstraße 25, 76185 Karlsruhe, Deutschland (https://www.netcup.com). The servers are located in Germany. A data processing agreement pursuant to Art. 28 GDPR is in place with the hosting provider. Further information is available in the provider's privacy policy.
Each time the website is accessed, the web server automatically records information transmitted by your browser and stores it in server log files:
- IP address of the requesting device
- date and time of access
- page or file requested and amount of data transferred
- HTTP status code
- previously visited page (referrer URL), if transmitted by the browser
- browser type, browser version and operating system (user agent)
Processing is based on Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR. Our legitimate interest lies in the secure and stable provision of the website, the defence against attacks and error analysis. Log files are deleted after no more than 14 days, unless longer retention is required as evidence in the event of a security incident. The data is not merged with other data.
The website is delivered exclusively over an encrypted connection (TLS/HTTPS).
4. Contact by email or phone
If you contact us by email or phone, we process the data you provide (e.g. name, email address, phone number, content of your message) in order to handle and respond to your enquiry.
The legal basis is Art. 6 (1) (b) GDPR where your enquiry relates to the conclusion or performance of a contract, and otherwise Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR (legitimate interest in responding to enquiries).
The data is deleted as soon as it is no longer required for handling your enquiry and no statutory retention obligations (in particular under commercial and tax law, up to ten years for business correspondence) apply.
Our email mailboxes are operated by a provider with servers located in the EU; a data processing agreement is in place with this provider.
5. Contact form
You can send us a message via the contact form. We process the details you enter (name, email address, optionally phone number and subject, message text) as well as, technically, the IP address, the time of submission and the selected language. The message is forwarded as an email to our mailbox by a service we operate ourselves; it is not stored in a database.
To protect against automated spam submissions, the service checks an additional field invisible to humans and the time taken to fill in the form, and temporarily limits the number of requests per IP address in memory. No captcha services or other third parties are involved.
The legal basis is Art. 6 (1) (b) GDPR (pre-contractual enquiry) or Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR (legitimate interest in responding to enquiries and preventing abuse). Section 4 applies to the retention period.
6. Links to our products and external services
This website links to the product websites ScorQR (scorqr.de) and, in future, ScorTick. These services are also operated by us but have their own privacy policies that apply to their use.
7. Recipients and transfers to third countries
Your data is only passed on to third parties where this is necessary to handle your enquiry, where you have consented, or where there is a legal obligation. Processors (hosting, email) are contractually bound under Art. 28 GDPR. No data is transferred to countries outside the European Union or the European Economic Area in connection with this website.
8. Your rights
You have the following rights with regard to your personal data:
- right of access (Art. 15 GDPR)
- right to rectification (Art. 16 GDPR)
- right to erasure (Art. 17 GDPR)
- right to restriction of processing (Art. 18 GDPR)
- right to data portability (Art. 20 GDPR)
- right to withdraw consent with effect for the future (Art. 7 (3) GDPR)
Right to object (Art. 21 GDPR): Where we process your data on the basis of Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR, you have the right to object to the processing at any time on grounds relating to your particular situation. We will then no longer process the data unless we can demonstrate compelling legitimate grounds for the processing which override your interests, rights and freedoms, or the processing serves the establishment, exercise or defence of legal claims.
To exercise your rights, an email to privacy@scorbyte.com is sufficient.
Right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority (Art. 77 GDPR): You have the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority. The authority responsible for us is:
Der Landesbeauftragte für Datenschutz und Informationsfreiheit Mecklenburg-VorpommernLennéstraße 1, 19053 Schwerin

9. Data security
We use technical and organisational measures to protect your data against loss, manipulation and unauthorised access, in particular TLS encryption, access restrictions and regular updates of the software used. These measures are continuously improved in line with technical developments.
10. Changes to this privacy policy
We will adapt this privacy policy if the legal situation or the website changes. The version published here applies; the date of the last change can be found at the top of this page.
